Client Spotlight – Origin Immigration Law

Aug 2, 2021 | Blog

It’s always exciting for us when a fellow entrepreneur hangs out their shingle in Las Cruces. Of course, we’re even more thrilled when it’s another woman-owned business. Join us in welcoming founder Lauren Armstrong and Origin Immigration Law to the Sinuate Media family!

About Origin Immigration Law

More than just another law firm, Origin Immigration Law is founded on the mission that each person that comes to them is treated as an individual. The firm offers dignity, understanding, and empathy to clients from diverse cultures and religious backgrounds, as well as domestic violence survivors and crime victims.

Whether someone is age 6 or 86, Origin Immigration Law advocates in their best interest and works to honor their story during representation.

Areas of practice include family based immigration, citizenship and naturalization, green cards and work permit renewals, humanitarian protections, and youth-focused work.

Helping Immigrants Navigate the Process

Founder Lauren Armstrong is passionate about immigration law because it’s life-changing. “I know how frustrating and complicated it can be to get your green card or citizenship. For me, it’s really a privilege to help guide each client through that process so they can find freedom and safety at the end,” she says.

Ms. Armstrong’s experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama shaped her desire to work for social justice and help create access to services for community members. After going to law school, Ms. Armstrong worked in the non-profit sector in Washington, DC, where she handled her first immigration cases.

Ms. Armstrong witnessed the transformation that could occur in a person’s life when they were able to legalize their status. As an immigration lawyer in the borderlands with over ten years’ experience, Ms. Armstrong serves as a bridge between the immigration system and the people who need to navigate it.

Immigration Lawyers In Las Cruces

While Ms. Armstrong is not the first immigration lawyer to practice in our area, she did come to us with a unique point of view when looking to create a website.

“It was important to me to have a website that conveyed professionalism, but with a fresh perspective.  I wanted the website to communicate that this firm is unique in our human-centered approach to the work,” she says.

Sinuate Media collaborated with Lauren on branding and website development. We worked with her on color choices, imagery, and content to put her human-centered approach front and center. A number of images on the website come from Las Cruces-based photographer Mattie Kannard. The result is a clearly organized website that communicates the process of working with Origin Immigration Law in a transparent way.

It also provides a sense of sanctuary and belonging through the use of a cool blue and green color palette and inclusive imagery that resonates with diverse clientele. Additionally, the site is translated into Spanish at the click of a button. [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
